“That’s impossible,” Dean breathed out, his eyes darting over the article once more. “Maybe she’s a relative?”
“I found a picture of her,” Sam turned the laptop toward him and clicked, bringing up another page, “and there’s no resemblance. Take a look for yourself. She died in her late twenties, and there was no next of kin listed.”
“I see what you mean, Sammy, but she passed all the tests. She’s not a demon, shapeshifter, or anything else that might try and weasel their way into our lives.” Dean sighed and ran a hand down his face. “You saw how terrified she was when we found her, dude. Either she was legitimately scared or she’s the best actress in the world.”
“Even so, Dean, she lied. Her name can’t be Y/N Y/L/N, and the fact that she’s familiar with the life isn’t sitting well with me.”
Dean scoffed and leaned back in his chair. “So? We lie for a living, Sam. We both have said our names are something different in the past, it’s what we do. She might be in hiding or something and is afraid to open up. She’s warming up to me, so I can probe her a bit and see what I can get.”
“Fine. As long as you’re not probing her with your dick,” Sam shot back with a glare, making sure his brother knows that he’s noticed their familial relationship.
